You’re an artist? Did you go to art school?

I’ve been drawing since my mom gave me my first box of Crayola crayons. Growing up, I’ve taken all sorts of art classes from animation to graphic design. However, I attended Point Loma Nazarene University where I got my BA in Managerial and Organizational Communication.

What is your dream as an artist?

I’ve accomplished one of my dreams and opened up my very own Etsy shop! My future goal is to license some of my work to various companies for them to put on all sorts of products. My biggest dream is to write and illustrate my own children’s book…which I did! “My Friend the Axolotl” by Jessica Sparks is available on Amazon.

What inspires you?

Pinterest. :) Ha!

In all seriousness, my love for manga, animation and anime inspires me. I am captivated by unique storytelling and am in awe when artists create whole worlds from their imaginations using various mediums.

What Mediums do you like to work in?

This is such a hard question! I love sketching things out and then adding some beautiful watercolor on top of my illustrations. Most designs featured on this website I’ve done digitally using my iPad Pro in the app Procreate.

Where are you from?

Born and raised in beautiful Southern California. Currently residing in sunny, San Diego with my fam!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received as an artist?

My high school animation teacher said it best, “Never stop drawing!” You never know what will come along if you just keep creating.
